Fitness has always been a huge passion of mine. But … there was a disconnect.
The fitness industry has always been plastered with images of vanity. This felt shallow. What about the more spiritual side? What better act of self-love is there than taking care of our bodies, our temples?
You see - my experience has been much deeper. Yes, my commitment to staying active has yielded results that I’m proud of in my physical body. But, to my surprise, my spiritual body got a pretty amazing workout too.
Since making fitness a priority, I’ve become more confident, comfortable in my own skin, centered, and resilient to bouncing back from life’s setbacks. To my surprise, I’ve also become much more humble and closer to God. (Yes, this is coming from someone who grew up in Catholic school.)
You see, it’s all connected. Mind, body, and spirit. When one piece of the puzzle is missing or neglected, it’s hard for the other pieces to fall into place.
When I focused on my health and becoming strong in my physical body, my mental strength began to increase. Once body and mind were working in unison, spirit spoke to me and invited me to become closer to my faith. I started going deeper. Meditating. Praying more. A seed was planted to spread the word.
One of my favorite quotes of all time is “Faith without action is dead.” We can’t just wish for it. We have to get into action. God gave us the tools to get ‘er done … but it’s up to us to use them.
This became my first shirt design. I thought: What if I could spread a little love, inspiration, and faith … one t-shirt at a time? They started selling. People loved the concept. ExaltFit was born.
Now, I’m on a mission to let people to know that nothing is impossible! I design activewear that fitness enthusiasts of all kinds can feel proud to wear. And those who see it, feel inspired.
